Sunday Drive

Sunday Drive

Ever since I was a child, I was always attracted to classic cars. I remember the first time I saw a 1964 Chevy Impala SS. I was walking down the road with a couple friends and we make a turn and hear this monster rumbling down the road. It was a white 64 SS Hot Rod built by a shop that was called "Bad Toys for Big Boys". Throughout the years, I've always dabbled with cars. A family friend used to keep his 55 Chevy Bel Air coupe in our yard, so it's safe to say I have always been a Chevy guy. I had picked up a '63 Impala coupe project, but sold it after a while. I had several Buick Regals, including one that made it's way into Lowrider Magazine various times. Through this all, my "dream car" has always been a 1960 Chevy EL Camino. Ever since selling my Silverado a few months ago, I've wanted another pick up in my fleet; currently filling that void is a Dodge Dakota. A few weeks ago, I found myself randomly checking out the classifieds for a clean 80's EL Camino. Now I have gone and checked out several, but haven't found "the one" just yet.

So just as I do when fishing is on my mind, I hit the drawing board. But this time, it was an EL Camino instead of a tarpon or redfish. Enter "Sunday Drive"... The latest edition into my sketchbook print series. A Chevy EL Camino with a L2Fish by Live Watersports in the bed, and a couple fly rods on the hood.

Snag one of these limited edition prints while they last, and stay tuned for my Sunday Drive series of posts, the EL Camino Project.

Until next time...
